Rana Rahimpour, a journalist BBC Persian, addresses UN Human Rights Council during its 37th session on 15 March 2018. Ms Rahimpour speaks eloquently of her personal experience of Iran’s persecution of BBC Persian staff and their families and appealed to Council members to call upon Iran to drop the criminal investigation into BBC Persian journalists and cease its persecution and harassment of their families in Iran. Caoilfhionn Gallagher QC and Jennifer Robinson of Doughty Street International act for the BBC World Service and BBC Persian journalists being persecuted by Iran and advised the BBC on engaging with the Council and UN special mechanisms.
